Four Observations 🔎
404’s from AI startup websites are on the rise. I am unsure if this implies bankruptcies, but the website for Israeli startup Datagen has not been active since the end of last month. They had raised $70 million to date. On a smaller scale, Oakland based Viable also had a 404 on their website today. While both websites are down, nothing has been posted from either startup on social media from what I could find - Twitter or LinkedIN. Strange. Companies can go belly up, I just hope if that is the case here their employees are ok.
Sales hiring across the board seems to be slowing down. Click through my last few posts and you will see a contraction. We track 500+ companies so that’s an observation in our data set.
Anthropic has not released many jobs this past month. Maybe it is related to talks of a raise. We used to post roles from them frequently beforehand but it seems to have slowed.
A lot of job boards have been moving to Ashby these past few months. Harvey AI moved theirs to the platform last week (from Rippling). OpenAI last month (from Greenhouse). There have been more. Pretty much every time I see a job board migration these days it is to Ashby. A tidbit for you VC’s or people trading in secondaries to go and analyse if you are into that. “Picks & Shovels” in the gold-rush.
