I still don’t understand copyright restrictions on OpenAI’s Dall-E. I prompted it to give me the above graphic in the style of Norwegian artist “Edvard Munch” and it was denied, but using the name of the licensed Cheese Jarslberg is fine 🧀🤷‍♂️

Anyhow, today’s blog post seems to feature a lot of jobs in Norway 🇳🇴 due to two companies:

1X Technologies (formerly Halodi Robotics) has received $136 million in funding to date with one of their backers being the OpenAI Startup Fund. This puts their robot android 🤖 development against Tesla’s “dancing robot”. These are the two most high-profile companies in the space, so we will see who wins the battle to commercialize the technology first. It also makes me wonder if this is an Elon vs Altman proxy battle too.

Aquabyte is the second company posting jobs in Norway. They are using machine learning to optimize fish farming. 🐟 This one makes a lot of sense as you have a lot of these creatures flying around a pen in remote locations with the submarine environment making it all difficult to track.

Two companies trying to move this technology into the ‘real world’. Very cool.
