How to get a job at a startup

PostHog is an open-source product analytics platform that enables teams to track, analyze, and improve user behavior directly from their own infrastructure.

It's a great product with an engaged user base who strongly advocate for their software. (Sidenote: I'm also a fan. I've used the product and mention it because I love it too. This is not sponsored.)

The company is popular, and getting a job with them is desirable. They can attract many applicants for that reason. The issue is they are not very big in terms of headcount - with LinkedIn showing just under 50 employees. So new job opportunities with PostHog are scarce.

It also stresses the value of personalized, concise cover letters. I can tell you as a former hiring manager, I simply trashed applications if they did not have cover letters, so their advice is real.
